º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× High School East recently partnered with the º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× Public Library to bring an engaging and educational experience to Spanish language students. Public librarians Laura Panter and Kelly Furnari provided cultural resources and led an interactive Breakout Box activity focused on Spanish culture.

Students in Ms. Carpenter’s and Ms. Calatayud’s Spanish classes, along with other World Language students on different days, worked in teams of five to six to solve clues and puzzles, unlock locks and “break out” of the boxes. This hands-on activity not only reinforced their knowledge of Spanish-speaking cultures but also promoted critical thinking, problem-solving and collaboration.

The collaboration between º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× Public Library and º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× High School East exemplifies the value of community resources in enhancing student learning through immersive experiences.
