º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× East and North students made an impressive showing at the annual Bay Area Friends of the Fine Arts (BAFFA) Show in Sayville this past weekend, earning multiple top honors. In a groundbreaking moment for the competition, º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× High School East senior Leah Ratto swept every specialty award – a first in BAFFA history.
Under the guidance of Mrs. Wrigley, Ratto earned 1st Place in the Painting category and claimed all four of BAFFA’s major specialty awards:
* 2025 Olivia & Harlan Fischer 2nd Best in Show.
* 2025 Jacqueline C. Palmer Award.
* 2025 Bell Street Artists Scholarship.
* 2025 Women Sharing Art Scholarship.
Other standout º£½ÇÒùĸÂÒÂ× artists included:
* Liliana Cirello (HS East, Mrs. DelVallez): 2nd Place in Mixed Media.
* Kim Lee (HS North, Mr. Oswald): 1st Place in Photography.
* Jahzara Reyes (HS North, Mrs. Provini): 2nd Place in Painting.
